Description
Description | Sport and Creativity is a project that merges social inclusion, psycho-physical well-being and creativity through a methodological framework based on formal and non-formal education, meta-cognition approach, digital tools and environmental awareness. The project will be carried out in three countries: Spain, Italy and Latvia. It will address 150 participants in Spain, 50 participants in Italy and 100 participants in Latvia, thus reaching the overall number of 300 participants in the involved countries. All the participants have in common the following features: they belong to groups at risk of social exclusion, their daily physical activity is well below the level recommended by the World Health Organisation (60 minutes per day) and their creative abilities are profoundly affected by their socioeconomic status (few stimuli, restricted access to information, scarce social interaction and limited options to travel). The project's main objective is inclusion and diversity by fostering creativity through sport design and practice The methodological framework on six pillars: Student-based focus. Dialogic learning. The Social Learning Theory and the Zone of Proximal Development. The Multiple Intelligences Theory. Ludic approach. Ken Robinson’s work on creativity. The project development includes seven phases: Exploring Phase, through which the participants explore the available sports. Divergent Phase: unfiltered first ideas about new sports. Convergent Phase: definitive new sports' selection based on added value and realistic implementation. Testing Phase: new sports testing and modifications according to specified requirements. Training Phase: design of the training activities for each new sport by using smart devices and free or low-cost apps. Delivery Phase, during which each partner will build new installations and/or modify existing ones in order to host the definitive sports. Fun Phase: design of a training plan on a regular basis for the following years. |
