Information Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs has come up with Sport Stadium Development Project with a ticket size of 109.36 INR Crores. This project in Sports Infrastructure sub-sector involves Setting up of Sports Stadium/Complex The current status of the project is Work in Progress and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project Dr. Sampoorananad Sigra Stadium one of the majorly located landmark in Varanasi is being used from more than 3 decades by the honor to host various sports events and also by the regular morning walkers as well. Under Varanasi Smart City this Stadium is planned for the overhaul redevelopment consisting advanced facilities and smooth modality tools. Along with facility to the residents the to be execution of the stadium will be able to host domestic/interstate/national sports events.
