Springpole Open-Pit Gold and Silver Mine Project

The Springpole project is a proposed open-pit gold and silver mine located in the Red Lake area of northwestern Ontario. It is designed to be one of Canada's largest open-pit gold mines with an estimated 9.4-year mine life, producing 330,000 ounces annually for the first five years and a total of 2.6 million ounces over its life. The project includes an 18-kilometre-long mine access road and an airstrip capable of handling Dash-8 aircraft. The project is nearing the completion of its environmental assessment and aims to provide significant economic benefits and infrastructure improvements in the region.
