Description | The proposed project will consist of the upgrading of traffic signal equipment at seven (7) intersections in Clarke County. The intersections are: State Route 10 at Cleveland Road, State Route 10 at Georgia Square Mall Drive, State Route 10 at Huntington Road, State Route 10 at State Route 10 Loop southbound, State Route 10 at State Route 10 Loop northbound, State Route 10 at Timothy Road/Mitchell Bridge Road, and State Route 10 at Athens West Park Place. This project will improve the overall efficiency and safety of traffic flow by providing upgraded traffic signal displays and state of the art traffic signal equipment, provide better signal coordination through fiber optic communication cable, and improve pedestrian safety by providing ADA compliant crosswalks, pedestrian signals and sidewalk ramps where appropriate. |
