Project HPP-0003-00(775) is an intersection improvement project in Fulton County at the northernmost intersection of S.R.120/Abbotts Bridge Road and Parsons Road. The project includes approximately 1200 feet of S.R.120/Abbotts Bridge Road (from mile marker 14.19 to 14.42) and approximately 450 feet of Parsons Road. To improve the operational efficiency of this intersection, SR 120 will be widened to accommodate a 300 foot right turn lane on the eastbound approach. The existing left turn lane on the westbound approach will be extended from 70 to 200 feet, which will help afternoon traffic leaving the nearby school. The existing westbound 140 foot right turn lane will be maintained. Parsons Road will be widened to accommodate a 160 foot right turn lane, 300 foot thru and left lanes and raised concrete islands will be added on the northbound approach. Pedestrian facilities will include ADA compliant sidewalks, ramps and crosswalks on all legs of the intersection.
