Description

Description

This project proposes to improve the intersection of SR 138 and CR 100/Flat Rock Road. SR 138 will have two 12-foot travel lanes, one in each direction, with one 12-foot left turn lane and an auxiliary 12-foot right turn lane in each direction. The shoulders will be 10-foot, two-foot paved, eight-foot grassed. County Road 100 will have two 12-foot travel lanes, one in each direction, with one 12-foot left turn lane in both directions with curb and gutter. The required rights-of-way along SR 138 will vary from 100 feet (existing) to 178 feet (required), and along CR 100 will vary from 40 feet (existing) to 112 feet (required). Existing traffic control at the intersection requires CR 100 traffic to stop; SR 138 is a continuous, non-stopping movement. The proposed project would install a stop and go traffic signal with new turn lanes.
