This project consists of intersection improvements at SR 138 and Eastview Parkway in Rockdale County. The existing roadway will be overlaid and widened to accommodate right and left turn bays and a through lane on the Eastview legs of the intersection. The total project length is approximately 0.174 miles. The project is scheduled for the July 2008 letting. SR 138/Walnut Grove Road (Urban Principal Arterial) @ CR 125/East View Parkway (Urban Collector) This project proposes to signalize the intersection with dedicated left-turn signals to protect the left-turn traffic from both side streets. The improvement will include the removal of the 10-ft landscaped median, and increase the current 10-ft lane width on CR 125 to 12-ft. The project will signalize the intersection (thereby increasing operational efficiency), and add a left turn lane and pedestrian facilities, to provide for a safer intersection.
