Downtown Sparta Streetscape Phase II: SR15/16/22/Broad Street beginning at Jones Street and ending at Elm Street. This project consists of improvements along Broad Street between Jones Street and Elm Street. Improvements will include items such as new curb & gutter, sidewalk, benches, trash receptacles, landscaping and pedestrian lighting (non-breakaway). Existing pedestrian lights will be replaced with new lights throughout the project. Between Jones Street and Boland Street, medium caliper trees will be placed along the sidewalk to complement the Phase 1 TE Streetscape Project (PI 0009087, under construction). Between Boland Street and Elm Street, landscaped islands will be constructed and small caliper trees (mature diameter less than 4”) will be planted along both sides of the street. The length of improvements is approximately 1850 feet.
