Eatonton Downtown Streetscape - Phase I: 1. North Jefferson Ave from SR 16 to Willie Bailey St. 2. East Marion St from North Jefferson Ave to parking lot entry behind buildings on N Jefferson Ave. The project will include the demolition of the existing sidewalk, curb & gutter and drainage inlets. The curb & gutter will be replaced with 1200 LF of 8" concrete curb & gutter to help decrease the elevation difference between the existing doorways and the top of the curb. The existing sidewalk will be replaced with 1500 SY of new 4” thick concrete sidewalk and 3000 SF of brick pavers in a decorative border. The brick pavers will also be used at intersection corners. 900 SF of brick pavers will also be used in the crosswalk. The corners of N. Jefferson Ave and Marion St will be framed with bulb-outs, which will allow streetscape planting and accommodate handicap access on non-ADA corners. The landscaped islands will be irrigated and an indemnity agreement will be required.
