Description

The propsoed project in Baldwin/Washington County consists of the widening, reconstruction and partial relocation of SR 24. The project would begin approximately 3100 feet south of C.R. 186/Ennis Road /O'Road in Baldwin County and end at C.R. 10/C.R. 342/Indian Trail Road in Washington County, a distance of approximately 7.8 miles. From the beginning of the project to east of Town Creek, the proposed widening would be on the side of the existing roadway. From east of Town Creek, the proposed widening would extend on new location south of existing S.R. 24 to C.R. 191/Harmony Church Road, and then shift to the north of existing S.R. 24 on new location to Gumm Creek. From Gumm Creek, the widening would generally follow the existing roadway to east of S.R.272, where it would extend on new location south of existing S.R. 24 to just west of C.R. 1/Leverett Road where the new roadway would shift to north of existing S.R.24 to west of Bluff Creek.
