Description | This project replaces the SR 25 bridge over Pipemakers Canal in Garden City. The purpose of the project is to provide additional capacity for stormwater conveyance and to provide clearance over a rail corridor proposed as part of the Georgia Ports Authority’s International Multi-modal Project. To accomplish the grade separation over the rail corridor, the new bridge would be higher and longer than the existing bridge. The new rail corridor will include a railway realignment that will significantly reduce the number of trains passing through nearby Garden City neighborhoods. SR 25 will be closed for approximately 12 months to expedite construction of the project. Traffic will be detoured to SR 21 and SR 307 while the road is closed. |
