SR 369 @ 6 INTERSECTIONS BT WALDRIP RD AND DOC BRAMBLETT RD

The purpose of this project is to improve the operating characteristics of 6 separate intersections in Forsyth County; all on SR 369. The intersections are with County roads at high volume/poor existing condition locations that Forsyth County and the DOT identified for upgrading. They include: Jot-em Down/Bethel Road, Waldrip Road, Doc Bramblett Road, Hendrix Road, Holtzclaw Road, and Shady Grove/Elrod Road. The existing roads vary in number of lanes at the intersection, but most have one 12-foot through lane in each direction and either right or left turn lanes. All of them have shoulders and swale drainage; some have small sections of curb and gutter. The project proposes to modify the alignment of either the state route or the county road at some of the locations, upgrade the pavement widths and structure, add left and/or turn lanes at all of the intersections, and install new signals at 2 of the intersections. The signalized intersections will provide for pedestrian movements.
