The proposed project would construct a roundabout at the intersection of SR 372 and Birmingham Road in Fulton County. The roundabout would provide single lane entries to the intersection with approaching vehicles yielding to vehicles in the roundabout. The central island will be traversable, allowing large vehicles and vehicles with trailers to run over the center island as needed. Additionally, truck aprons along the corners of the intersection are provided for large vehicles to traverse as needed. Pedestrian access is provided on all 4 corners of the intersection with crosswalks provided. Signing is placed on each approach leg alerting drivers of the roundabout ahead, as well as guide signs providing directions to approaching vehicles.
