The proposed project consists of improvements to the exit ramp for the northbound exit ramp located on S.R. 400 at Windward Parkway and along Windward Parkway. The project begins at the intersection of the S.R. 400 Northbound exit ramp and Windward Parkway and travels east along Windward Parkway to the intersection of Windward Parkway and North Point Parkway. The project consists of adding a free flow right turn lane from the S.R. 400 northbound exit ramp onto Windward Parkway that would continue as an additional lane which would drop as a right turn lane at the North Point Parkway intersection. These improvements would significantly reduce congestion on the S.R. 400 northbound exit ramp and allow both the S.R. 400/Windward Parkway and Windward Parkway/North Point Parkway intersections to operate at an acceptable Level of Service with reduced delay over existing conditions.
