Description | This is an intersection improvement project for SR 4/15th Street at Central Avenue which is currently a "T" intersection with Central Avenue teeing into 15th Street. The intersection will remain a "T" intersection, but will be improved with a proposed Stop and Go Traffic Signal installed along with new signing and marking. Need & Purpose: Accident history shows a total of 11 accidents during the period of January 1, 1998 through December 31, 1998. Nine of those were angle intersecting accidents, and two side swipe collisions. In order to improve the safety and orderly progression of traffic through the intersection, these improvements are recommended. Project Length: 0.10 mile |
