Description | This project will improve safety and connectivity within the Little 5 Points commercial district and to the Reynoldstown MARTA station and programmed complete street project on DeKalb Ave. This project proposes narrowing the travel lanes from 11.5 feet to 10 feet and narrowing the median on Moreland under the DeKalb Ave tunnel in order to widen sidewalks from 6.5 feet to 9-10 feet. The "jughandle" ramps connecting Moreland to DeKalb Ave will also be narrowed from approx. 24 feet to 12 feet and a new 12 feet wide multi-use path will be constructed to connect Moreland to the DeKalb Avenue Complete Street project. |
