Description

Description

The bridge (Structure ID 181-0001-0; SR 43 over Lloyd Creek) was built in 1953 and is listed in fair condition. The bridge consists of three spans of four concrete Tee Beams on reinforced concrete caps and piles with spread footings. The bridge was designed using an H-15 design vehicle and the calculated load carrying capacity is 66.7 percent lower than current standards. The barrier is showing signs of deterioration and is not MASH compliant. All spans have shrinkage cracks and abrasion wear and spans 1 and 3 also have longitudinal cracking. The edge beams at bents 2 and 3 have cracking, spalling, and exposed rebar. Scaling is present on the bottom of the deck and curbs. There is vertical cracking in the bearing areas at span1 beams 1, 2, and 4. There is shear cracking present at beam 3 and scaling on the beams and end walls. Both abutment caps have vertical cracking and spalling in the caps at bents 2 and 3.
