SR 4/US 1 FM CR 104 TO SR 4/US 1BU NEAR WADLEY & JEFFERSON

The proposed project will improve US 1/SR 4 from CR 104/Cordie Road to the Wadley Bypass at US 1/SR 4 Business. Improvements to US 1/SR 4 would consist of widening the roadway from a two-lane roadway to four lanes divided by a 44 ft grassed median. At the beginning of the project , US 1/SR 4 would be widened on the east side of the existing roadway to match the alignment of the northern terminus of the proposed EDS-545(50) widening. Widening alone the east side would continue to a point approximately 0.40 miles south of CR 191/Fred Evans Road. At that point, the proposed alignment would shift to the west to minimize residential and wetland impacts, then become symmetrical to tie into the Wadley Bypass at US 1/SR 4.
