SR 52 @ CHESTATEE RIVER - BRIDGE REPLACEMENT

The proposed project will replace the existing SR 52 bridge over the Chestatee Rver on new alignment. The proposed project length is 0.4 miles with the bridge approximately 300 feet long. Both road and bridge will continue to maintain a rural roadway with a speed limit of 45 mph. The proposed roadway lane widths will consist of 12 feet lanes with 8 foot shoulders. The proposed bridge width will consist of 12 foot travel lanes with 8 foot shoulders. The new bridge will be raised 5 feet +/- to accommodate the 100 year flood line.
