S.R. 524 PD&E Study

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is conducting a Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study to evaluate improvements to State Road (S.R.) 524 from Friday Road (south) to Industry Road in Brevard County, a project length of approximately 3.14 miles. The purpose of this study is to evaluate alternatives to improve roadway capacity, safety, and enhance multi-modal opportunities to include bicycle and pedestrian facilities. In addition, several potential highway and intersection improvements will be considered. The no-build alternative will also be evaluated. The PD&E study is being conducted to determine the location and conceptual design of the preferred roadway improvements and the associated social, economic, and environmental effects of the improvements.
