Description | This project is a transportation enhancement project in Clayton County. This project consists of constructing a pedestrian/bicycle underpass beneath SR 54/Jonesboro Rd. in Morrow, Georgia. Plans are underway to develop a mixed use section in the downtown Morrow area. This area will interconnect with a proposed rail station and a citywide path system to be developed in two places. The long term vision for the path is to create a link between local residential neighborhoods and the downtown business district. The underpass will be approximately 110-ft long, 20-ft wide, and 10-ft high. Lane closings and width changes will be utilized to maintain traffic and to facilitate the installation of the tunnel. |
