The proposed improvement would provide dual eastbound and westbound left turn lanes, as well as an additional westbound through lane on SR 108. The additional westbound through lane will drop just west of Shelby Lane and will require full depth widening along both the north and south shoulders of SR 108. The proposed dual eastbound and westbound left turn lanes would provide additional capacity and reduce queue spillback for the movement's high vehicle volumes. The additional eastbound left turn lane would have a storage length of approximately 350’. The additional eastbound left turn lane would have a storage length of approximately 440’. The proposed alternative is a reduced version of the original scoping study (PI 0018286) preferred alternative which also included providing an additional eastbound left turn lane. The analysis showed that while the additional eastbound lane does provide some additional benefit, majority of the intersection delay improvements are coming from
