Description

Description

The project consists of the replacement of an existing bridge on SR 89/US 441 over Cypress Creek in Clinch County, located 2 miles south of the city of Fargo, GA. The proposed project begins approximately 2,400 feet northeast of the existing bridge and extends southwest approximately 1,900 feet, for an approximate length of 4730 feet (0.9 miles). Proposed is a new bridge that will be constructed parallel to the existing bridge on the southeast side of SR 89. The bridge will be 430-foot with two 12-foot lanes and 6-foot shoulders. The roadway typical section consists of two 12-foot lanes with a 4-foot paved shoulder and 10-foot total shoulder on each side of the roadway. Design speed of the project will be 55 mph. Due to the offset alignment of the proposed bridge, traffic will be maintained on the existing bridge during construction therefore not requiring an off-site detour.
