Description

Description

The project begins at the intersection of SR 89/US 441 with Tiger Lake Road approximately 1 mile north of the city of Fargo. The project ends at 0.6 mile south of the intersection of SR 89/US 441 with Colon Road. A 1-mile long 12-ft wide lane will be added to the right of the current north bound lane starting at 0.125-mile past the project begin. A 1-mile long 12-ft wide lane will also be added to the left of the south bound lane starting at the 1.875-mile mark of the project. 660-ft long tapers will be used for transitioning in and out the new additional lanes. The proposed shoulder will be 10-ft, with 4-ft paved. Traffic will be maintained on the existing roadway during construction. US 441 is a road corridor that is a part of the Governor’s Road Improvement Program (GRIP). This requires US 441/SR 89 to be widened out to 4 lanes. However, there is not a definite timeline for this to be done.
