Description | Project STP-0001-00(583) is for the upgrade of the existing Type A crossovers to Type B crossovers at eight intersections and five median crossovers along SR 8/US 29 from Athena Drive in Clarke County northward to CR 442/Old Danielsville Road in Madison County. In addition, right turn lanes are being added at those intersections where they do not currently exist provided that no additional right of way is required. The existing signals at two intersections will be upgraded to comply with the new turn lanes. The project also includes a section south of Athena Drive to mill and resurface the existing pavement. The approximate gross length of the project is 4.291 miles. |
