Description | In the Bryn Mawr-Skyway area of King County between Seattle and Renton, just west of 68th Avenue South, we worked with King County Metro to build 500 feet of new sidewalk and a raised platform for pedestrians to access a Metro bus stop on the east side of the highway. This new section of sidewalk links a crosswalk at SR 900/68th Avenue South with a King County Metro bus shelter on SR 900. Previously, people reached the bus shelter by walking along the shoulder of a busy highway. The project also added pedestrian safety improvements at the crosswalk at SR 900/68th Avenue South, such as accessible pedestrian signals for pedestrians who are blind or visually impaired. Crews also improved drainage, landscaping and lighting as part of this project. |
