This project in Irrigation sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Notice to Proceed and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project To utilize 19 TMC of krishna River water to irrigate 1,90,000 Acres 76890Ha by gravity only ,in Nandyal,Panyam,Banaganapalli,Owk,Koilakuntla,Sanjamala,Uyyalawada Mandals of Nandyal District and Peddamudiam,Jammalamaugu and Mylavaram Mandals of Kadapa District.19 Tmc of water which is drawn in khariff from flood flow are proposed to be stored in 2 Nos of Balancing Reservoirs at Gorakallu and Owk for irrigation requirement of the crops in Rabi period under normal flow conditions. |
