Headquartered near Delhi and listed on Indian stock exchanges, SRF Limited (http://www.srf.com) has three main business verticals: 1) Technical Textiles - such as nylon and polyester tire cord fabric, belting, coated and laminated fabrics; 2) Chemicals – such as refrigerant gases, chloromethanes, fluorospecialities; and 3) Packaging Films - viz. bi-axially-oriented polyethylene terephthalate (“BOPET”) and bi-axially oriented polypropylene (“BOPP”) films (which is in the process of being set up in South Africa). SRF, through its subsidiary SRF Thailand, proposes to set up a facility for the production of BOPET packaging films in Thailand with a capacity of 28,500 ton per annum (the “Project”). The proposed Project is located in Hemaraj Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate (HESIE) approximately 30 kilometers from the Laem Chabang deep-sea container port and Sri Racha city and approx 110 kilometers from Bangkok. The Company purchased 22 acres (54 Rai) of fully developed industrial land for this project in HESIE in September 2011. The Project is expected to become operational in May 2013.
