Description | Srivathsa Power Projects Ltd ("SPPL") was a 17.202 MW (3 x 5.734 MW) natural gas-based plant set up in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Natural gas is being supplied by the Gas Authority of India Limited ("GAIL"). Electric power from the plant was to be sold to the Andhra Pradesh Transco Grid ("APTRANSCO") under a 15 year Power Purchase Agreement. The project is capable of generating a saleable energy of approximately 130 Million kWh annually. Asian Genco owned 50% of the equity in SPPL. Partnering in the 17 MW gas fired power plant is Avanti Group. The power plant has been in operation since 2002. The was no information on project cost. |
