SSIFF INDUSTRIA is the umbrella covering the industry activities of the San Sebastian Film Festival, one of the main European competitive festivals. In the frame of a renewed structure it includes two main areas: Films-To-Be, activities focused on industry professionals with a view to casting light on new talents, fostering co-productions and the circulation of films, as well as to promoting technological innovation in the audiovisual field; and Thought & Debate for Industry, activities with the commitment to reflect on the challenges a/v sector (particularly European) embraces from a wideranging perspective such as sustainability and audiovisual trends, new technologies and new business models or contents, diversity and inclusion. Based on an agile formula, SSIFF INDUSTRIA is designed to be an attractive place for business facilitating the work of professionals with activities such as: WIP Latam and WIP Europa, our sections dedicated to works-in-progress; Europe-Latin America Co-Production Forum, our consolidated benchmark platform between Europe and Latin America cinematographies; Zinemaldia & Technology, our space for technological and a/v innovation which includes Zinemaldia Startup Challenge, a European competition for technological business projects related to the audiovisual; Ikusmira Berriak, the residencies programme for creators with development projects and oriented to professionalize film students and young professionals; Lau Haizetara Documentary Film Co-Production Forum in collaboration with IBAIA. SSIFF INDUSTRIA is designed, as well, to create an inspiring and new skilling atmosphere for the Industry through workshops, talks and roundtables such as the European Film Forum or the Series Conference. In 2021, we aim to bring back the physical format of SSIFF Industria and make the most of our accredited guests participation either physically or through our online proposal of contents and tools.
