St. Joseph’s Villa, Dundas Long Term Care Home - Air Handling Unit Upgrade and Retrofit

The project will provide ventilation improvements to the St. Joseph’s Villa, Dundas, long-term care facility in Hamilton, Ontario. The project will upgrade and replace air handling units, filtration and other ventilation systems, and integrate new control systems. The main objective of this project is to improve air quality, air supply and controls to provide a better care environment for residents and staff. A failed unit could impact resident care and the ability to provide areas with adequate air supply. The project will mitigate infection transmission and is essential to improving air filtration, COVID-19 risk mitigation, improve resident/staff safety, and increase comfort of care. Existing units are at end of life and unit failure is a major concern.
