Description | The St. Louis Board of Aldermen has advanced a ballot question for the April 6, 2027 election to redirect funds from the 2017 Proposition 1 Economic Development Sales tax to support the Green Line BRT project along the Northside-Southside corridor. The project involves an 11.5-mile BRT alignment, extending beyond the originally proposed 5.6-mile light rail alignment, providing transit access to additional neighborhoods and supporting economic development at a lower estimated project cost. The project has adopted the Florissant Avenue alignment as the Locally Preferred Alternative and is advancing through the federal Capital Investment Grant process. |
