Stabilization and development of the bank of the Bécancour River

The project involves stabilizing a riprap bank portion of 125 meters and to plant vegetation along the coast and the bank to limit erosion in order to stop the degradation of the land in this area. The project involves the following two steps: Stage 1 - Shoreline Stabilization: • Mobilization and demobilization; deforestation; earthwork; Clean stone 50-250 mm diameter; Corner stone 400-800 mm diameter; corner stone 800 mm diameter; Foundation drain; Topsoil and seeding; Repair of the work site. Step 2 - Shoreline development: • Mature trees; Growing trees; shrubs; Removable gazebos; Removable swings; dock; Stone trail; Concrete bases as well as Signs related to communication activities. It should be noted that the gazebos and swings will be fixed to the ground, but they will have to be removed during the flood waters and in winter.
