Information Steel Authority of India Limited [SAIL] has come up with Stamp Charge Battery No.12 Battery Proper at IISCO Steel Plant with a ticket size of 2518.39 INR Crores. This project in Manufacturing sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Notice to Proceed and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project The cold repair of COB-11 is being planned from 2027 after completion of 14 years of operation. The period of cold repair will be for 2 years. Since during the period of cold repair, the production from COB-10 alone will not suffice, ISP will have to procure both coke and gas/ alternate fuel may not be practicable on a sustained basis due to considerations of cost and availability. The new Stamp Charge battery, COB-12, along with COB-11, COB-10 will be closed down in 2030-31. The new Stamp Charge battery, COB012, along with COB-11, shall be able to cater to the BF coke requirement up to 3.3 MTPA Hot Metal production envisaged by ISP and shall also meet the gas requirement of the plant.
