Description | Six grid-connected standalone battery energy storage system (BESS) projects with a cumulative storage capacity of 500 MWh (125 MW x 4 hours) are planned in Odisha, India. The capacity allocation includes five projects of 20 MW/80 MWh each and one project of 25 MW/100 MWh. GRIDCO will enter into battery energy storage purchase agreements with successful bidders, and the projects are eligible for viability gap funding through the Power System Development Fund scheme of the Ministry of Power. The selected developers will set up, operate, and maintain the storage systems and interconnect them with the state transmission utility network. |
