Description | The Stanley Park Water Supply Tunnel Project involves replacing an existing water main built in the 1930s that is at the end of its service life. The new tunnel and water main will meet current seismic standards, strengthen the resilience of the regional water system, and add capacity to meet future water demand as the region grows. Construction included temporarily taking the First Narrows Crossing out of service to build a bypass, which is now complete and back in service. |
