Description | EET Hydrogen is developing the 350MW first phase of the Stanlow blue hydrogen project (HPP1) in northwest England. The project includes a hydrogen power plant that has been integrated into the financing plan to improve bankability. The power plant will convert hydrogen to power and steam, supplying the refinery and the grid as a backup. The project aims for final investment decision (FID) in the second half of 2026, timed with the FID for the hydrogen power plant, which is under development and expected to be completed by 2027. The project has secured planning permission and an EPC contract with Turkey's ENKA. The project benefits from a UK government contract-for-difference subsidy and associated carbon storage infrastructure. |
