The project will be located on a 10-square-mile site in Abu Dhabi and will eventually accommodate 5 gigawatts of data centers. The first phase is a 1-gigawatt facility developed by UAE's state-backed firm G42 in collaboration with U.S. and Japanese companies including OpenAI, Oracle, Nvidia, Cisco Systems, and SoftBank Group. The initial 200 megawatts of capacity is scheduled to be operational by 2026, involving around 1,400 servers using Nvidia's Grace Blackwell GB300 systems. |
