Description

Description

The project “START Afr.E.S.H” will be implemented by 5 partners from 4 EU MS (IT, BE, PT, ES) and 5 partners from Africa (Kenya, Burundi, DR of Congo, Uganda and Ivory Coast) Project title aims to underline partners desire to redefining the EU- Africa relations on a new horizontal dimension after the “vertical” colonial framework; “Afr.E.s.h” will represent an acronym meaning: “Africa and Europe Same Horizon” in order to highlight how the 2 continents shall cooperate to face global challenges like migration flows, climate change, inequalities and conflicts. Within this framework, partners aim to assume an integrated “global citizenship” approach with the following objectives: - Increase leadership attitudes of African and European young people, to become capable to play the role of active citizens for their communities: in particular the project will insist on 5 complementary educational programs fostering emotional and relational skills, communication and digital competences, awareness of civic participation tools - Reinforce the transnational cooperation among CSOs from Africa and Europe, their social impact and sustainability with a youth oriented approach, foreseeing international exchanges to share best practices, intercultural perspectives and take into account local implications of global challenges. The project is consistent with the objectives of the call since it will directly promote: - Intercultural dialogue with third countries not associated to the programme - Fostering the digital and soft skills development of young people and youth workers - Citizenship and the common values of freedom, tolerance and non-discrimination - The youth dimension in the relations of the EU with Partner Countries - The participation of African Countries with less experience in Erasmus + Program Considering the wide dimension of the network and the different educational programs activated, the project will directly involve 1250 young participants and 125 youth workers
