Description
Description | "Startupreneurs 2, a follow up project to Startupreneurs, focuses on web entrepreneurs (startups) and capitalizes on extensive experience of consortium members while working with startup communities. Five well-recognized startup ecosystem leaders (Civitta startup consultancy in Lithuania, Startups.be umbrella organization for startup ecosystem in Belgium, Tetuan Valley pre-accelerator in Spain, Power of Youth entrepreneur development organization in the UK and Beta-i Riga startup accelerator in Portugal) will integrate EYE programme to their already existing activities in order to ensure fast and effective take-up of the programme by the local communities of entrepreneurs. This proposal has the following distinct features: 1. Primary focus on startup ecosystems and web entrepreneurs; 2. Consortium is formed from startup ecosystem leaders from each country, ensuring deep reach into startup communities; 3. NEs and HEs will mainly be recruited through personal approach by consortium members in addition to 4 open calls. Personal approach will be applied throughout NEs and HEs involvement in EYE; 4. 4 open calls, 4 social media campaigns, 8 pitching events for selection, 8 social events for community building during project implementation per partner. 5. Extensive after-care programme for up to 6 months after the exchange to provide practical help to NEs to start their own business. Expected impact: at least 100 NEs will go for a 3 month exchange, 100 HEs will be involved, 2500 potential NEs and 1900 potential HEs will be reached. We have also learnt from Startupreneurs #1 and have introduced the following main changes: 1) Reduced number of NEs to 100 in order to increase their stay to 3 months avg. 2) Increased involvement of the coordinator in order to ensure significantly higher involvement in consortium partner activities, offering them practical help in all steps of project implementation.
