This FDOT resurfacing project will improve safety, increase mobility and rehabilitate State Road 24 between State Road 222 and U.S. 301 and includes:Milling and resurfacing of almost 9 miles of State Road 24Shoulder treatmentCurb and gutters constructionDrainage improvementsHighway signingGuardrail construction Traffic signalsIncidental construction Traffic will be maintained in accordance with FDOT design standards throughout the project. During resurfacing operations, drivers can expect daytime lane closures from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Please note the speed limit on State Road 24 will be reduced to 55 mph during work zone activity.FDOT selected Whitehurst, V. E. & Sons to complete this project by summer 2025, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.
