The aim of our project is non-formal education and safety awareness for mountain professionals and active amateur hikers on how to move in mountains in different conditions. Objectives of the project: - to protect hikers from health and safety hazards while hiking in nature, - to increase the qualification of the mountain guides, hiking group leaders and active amateur hikers, - to increase the international dimension of organizations promoting physical activity and outdoor sport and health, by promoting the creation and the development of a network in order to spread the importance of outdoor sport, by implementing other future projects, - to establish a sustainable transnational network of hikers in Europe aiming to exchange good practices and experiences, - to exchange of knowledge and good practices on how to maintain hiking group safe. The project objectives will be achieved through the cross-border mobility of volunteer coaches, mountain guides, hiking group leaders and active hikers and good practice exchanges among hiking groups. By promoting mobility and international networking, the participating hiking groups will share knowledge, build solutions together and produce results that will be ready to put into practice. The clubs will find inspiration, widen their horizons and raise the capacities of their clubs through increased creativity, innovation and adopting new approaches in the operation of the hiking clubs. Three training camps in 3 partner countries (Austria, Slovakia and Romania) will be organized for 72 participants and specialized in (1) orienteering in emergency situations, (2) general emergency procedures and (3) administering first Aid in mountains. All lessons learned during the time in this training can be applied to the personal and professional future of mountain guides, hiking group leaders and active amateur hikers and will be disseminated through national sport events to 90 participants.
