Description | The proposed loan would finance the CIF cost of cables, switching equipment and associated accessories, all procured after international competitive bidding. The system capacity will be expanded to about 200,000 lines by the progressive installation of these new exchanges and regular 3-yearly extensions at each of the existing exchanges. The junction cables and main subscriber cables will be augmented as necessary to allow connection of about 70,000 additional subscribers bringing the total to about 164,000. |
