Description
Description | ‘STEAM Innovation Ecosystem: Nurturing creative synergies for future challenges’ is an innovative project designed to revitalize education by integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM). It aims to harness the creative potential of students in Greece, Portugal, Cyprus and Italy by blending scientific inquiry with artistic expression and cultural heritage appreciation. The project’s foundation lies in the recognition of a growing gap between traditional education and the dynamic requirements of the contemporary job market, especially in STEM fields. The project is structured into five distinct but interrelated Work Packages (WPs). WP1 focuses on project management and coordination. WP2, the heart of STEAM Innovation, involves developing an inclusive and comprehensive educational framework, including the formation of local forums for stakeholder consultation and creating a methodological blueprint for STEAM education. WP3 is dedicated to practical application through creative learning approaches. Activities like making and tinkering in makerspaces, theatrical exploration of scientific concepts, and blending music with STEM subjects are planned. These tasks are aligned with the cultural and infrastructural strengths of each partner country to ensure effective and context-sensitive learning experiences. WP4 aims to consolidate learning and insights gained into best practices and policy recommendations, contributing to broader educational discourse. WP5 focuses on dissemination and impact, ensuring the project’s learnings and successes are shared widely. The project aspires to boost a new wave of creative and scientifically literate individuals capable of addressing contemporary challenges with innovative solutions, inspire entrepreneurial thinking and prepare students for unforeseen future professional demands. The consortium partnership is comprised of 4 partners from 4 EU countries (Greece, Cyprus, Portugal, and Italy). |
