Description | The Steel River Energy Center is a massive solar and battery storage project in Mississippi County, Arkansas. The first two phases will add 1.6 GWdc of solar generation and 1.9 GWh of battery storage, with a full buildout of 2.5 GWdc and 2.9 GWh by 2029. The project supports industrial growth and uses primarily U.S.-made components, including steel from Arkansas and solar modules and battery systems from U.S. manufacturers. It is expected to create about 700 construction jobs per phase and generate significant local tax revenue. |
