Description | The Steel River project in Mississippi County, Arkansas, is a large-scale solar-plus-storage facility that will deliver roughly 2.45 gigawatts of solar generation combined with 2.9 gigawatt-hours of battery storage. It will be developed in three phases, each providing 815 megawatts of solar capacity and 240 megawatts of battery storage, with all phases expected to reach commercial operation by 2029. The project is expected to cost over $4.5 billion and will create hundreds of jobs, generate tax revenues for local infrastructure, and support local manufacturing with American-made steel and solar modules. |
