The aim of the project, entitled: “Step by step towards European integration!” is to appeal to the needs of closer cross-border cooperation in the European area, whether between local governments or citizens themselves. The implementation of the project is supported by the civic involvement of the EU and the common interests of the partners. Our aim is to strengthen citizens' integration processes at local, regional and European level. We will support the participation of citizens in public policy. In not every country do citizens get the opportunity to get involved in public affairs. In this respect, the project by its nature provides the necessary opportunities for development and encouragement to engage. The aim is to bring the EU closer to citizens, to make them more receptive and to encourage them not to be afraid to present their views. We will increase the sense of belonging in the EU. We believe that the event will be attended by as many citizens as possible from each partner municipality and surrounding regions. We will contribute to building mutual trust and create potential for the future implementation of similar projects.
