Description | Aim and funding approach. The sector program Stepping Up Investments for Growth Acceleration Program (SIGAP), co-financed with the ADB, aims to support the Indonesian government in restructuring the currently still heavily consumption-oriented economy into an investment-oriented economy. This is intended to help improve the country's ability to adapt to external shocks and to strengthen the framework conditions for sustainable economic development. SIGAP will focus on implementing reforms to (i) improve the business climate, (ii) strengthen public and private infrastructure investments and (iii) simplify public procurement procedures. Partner structure. The borrower is the Republic of Indonesia, represented by the Ministry of Finance. The project implementing unit is the Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs. Costs and financing. SIGAP comprises two phases: Phase I with a commitment in September 2014 and Phase II with a planned commitment in September 2016. For Phase I, the ADB will commit a loan of up to USD 400 million. KfW has issued a FZ promotional loan with GWR of USD 200 million for Phase I. |
