Description | The project will renovate an approximately 3500 square foot, section of the Al Lawrence Arena in the District of Stewart to accommodate larger community events in the community. It will include a multi use area, a commercial kitchen, storage, and public washrooms. Currently, the District of Stewart has no facility to host community events over 150 people and no event space that is accessible to seniors. With two mines set to be constructed near Stewart, the population is likely to increase, and the need for community event space will be even higher. Project Works: The project works will include: - Multi use area and storage - Commercial kitchen; - Bathrooms; - Foyer; - Meeting room; - Upgrade access road and parking lot; - Improve facility accessibility; and, - Other related works. |
