Stick Pond Brook Retaining Wall and Stream Crossing

This Project consists of the replacement of an existing gabion basket wall along the west side of Logy Bay Rd. for a distance of 150 m where Stick Pond Brook parallels the road and the replacement of a stream crossing at the same location in the town of Logy Bay-Middle Cove-Outer Cove. The scope of the project includes the replacement of the deteriorated gabion basket wall with a precast concrete block wall and the replacement of a very deteriorated corrugated metal culvert with a bottomless concrete structure. The project will provide a durable retaining structure between the road and the stream preventing undermining of the road, upgrade the hydraulic capacity of the stream, and provide a safe traffic barrier between the stream and the road.
